Scrum Master

#MM- PP1D

 

Location:   CHICAGO, IL

Duration:   Contract to Hire OR PERMANENT

 

As a Scrum Master, you will act as a true servant leader for your Agile team by guiding its

members to ensure that agreed upon processes are understood, adhered to and followed. In

your role, you will facilitate clear communication to management and to the team by being a

collaborative, open, approachable person who enjoys working with passionate people. You will

also be responsible for identifying and removing impediments that hinder the team from

reaching their goals. You will drive Agile and Lean frameworks that result in quality product

delivery and continuous improvement by supporting teamwork and taking risks in a blame-free

environment.

 

Responsibilities:
  • Guide the team on Agile principles and embrace the concept of continuous learning
  • Support the team as a servant leader - lead by example
  • Support the Product owner and CTO to align the team with the product vision
  • Promote an environment of collaboration within the team that allows for open dialogue

and productive solutions for resolving conflicts
  • Champion continuous improvement activities to reduce waste and increase productivity
  • Build a trusting and safe environment where problems can be raised without fear of

blame or retribution with an emphasis on problem solving
  • Assist with internal and external communication while maintaining transparency of

information

 

Job Requirements:
  • Expertise with Agile and Scrum Frameworks and their application in product

development
  • Experience playing the Scrum Master role in a software development team where Agile

principles and values were diligently applied
  • Team player, energetic personality, quality minded, focused, committed, able to work

independently in a fast paced, changing environment
  • Ability to coach and mentor
  • Ability to collaborate with and influence people at various levels
  • Strong skills and knowledge of conflict resolution, continual improvement, empowerment, and increasing transparency
  • Strong communication skills
  • Data and metrics driven
