Job Description:
- Identifying and filling product area gaps and generating new ideas that align business objectives to improve the customer experience and drive growth
- Collaborating with prospective users and clients to understand and anticipate their needs and translate them into product requirements
- Define, articulate, and executes the product vision and roadmap
- Build the product roadmaps based on the business priorities and technical needs
- Translate product roadmap features into well-defined product requirements including features, user stories, and acceptance test criteria
- Developing and priorizing user stories and creating product plans using Jira
- Documenting processes in LucidChart
- Managing the product backlog and prioritizing Features, Epics and Stories based on changing requirements
- Prioritizes and maintain the sprint backlog for assigned products, balancing the requirements of stakeholders
- Liaising with the product team and end-users to deliver updates
- Contribute to Agile ceremonies such as daily standup, retrospectives, team demoes and document business release notes
- Coordinate the solutions around these platforms with internal and external partners
- Working closely with experienced engineers or business stakeholders to drive product delivery
- Keeping the team focused and excited to continually make 7-Eleven as a business more efficient by connecting the work they do to our larger mission
- Building alignment/awareness across product/engineering teams, leadership teams, and other stakeholders across the organization
Job Requirements:
- Minimum 5+ years’ of Product Management / Product Ownership experience required in technology – experience in the fuels environment is preferred
- Strong analytical and problem-solving competencies with the ability to synthesize information, apply critical thought, and present the information in a clear and meaningful way
- Ability to define, measure and analyze processes to identify improvement opportunities
- Solid understanding of Agile/Scrum Framework and product development principles
- Ability to build relationships cross-functionally with multiple teams from other product areas
- Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills
- Must be able to demonstrate Product Management / Product Ownership skill set with past experiences with previous projects
- Primarily able to operate independently, with minimal supervision/direction, to take business ask, clarify details necessary with development team.
- Candidate should be self-driven, proactive (someone that can take an initiative and drive to get tasks and does not need daily directions) and should act with urgency
