The professional in this role will have the following responsibilities:
• With minimal direction creates, implements and measures internal/external communication plans
• Develops key messages to help drive engagement
• Builds and maintains relationships with key internal and external stakeholders
• Contributes to strategic decision-making
• Influences and persuade internal and external clients
• Initiates ideas and actions on cross-functional teams
• Presents concepts and final work product to leadership
• Works with high level of independence on new or unfamiliar projects
• Serves as a liaison, maintaining balance between client interests and company interests
The individual should have the following qualifications and skills:
• Bachelor’s degree required; Communications/Public Relations concentration preferred: 3-5 years of marketing, communications and/or public relations experience required. Insurance and/or financial services industry experience a plus
• Strong communications skills, including the ability to write leadership messages and other employee communications, as well as developing intranet content and producing employee town halls
• Intermediate organization and project/program management skills
• Intermediate negotiation and interpersonal skills
• Intermediate strategic and analytic skills
• Intermediate experience using Microsoft suite and SharePoint
• Intermediate presentation development and delivery skills
• Intermediate knowledge and application of the Associated Press Style Guide and Brand Voice
