Mortgage Research Analyst

Location: RICHARDSON, TX

Duration: 6 Months+

 

 

Responsibilities:
  • Provide above and beyond customer service while researching, resolving and delivering accurate results in a timely, positive manner to internal and external clients
  • Prioritize and resolve incoming escrow, servicing, and post-purchase payment inquiries requested by lenders and borrowers
  • Act as a main point of contact and liaison for customers, clients and our sub servicer
  • Escalate appropriate inquiries as needed and collaborate internally to resolve quickly and accurately
  • Maintain and continually improve internal and external customer experiences
  • Research loan data, escrow and closing documents to resolve client inquiries
  • Assist with escalated post purchase loan servicing issues and work with internal team members/external clients to identify, track, report and accurately resolve servicing issues
  • Adapt quickly and implement necessary actions to reflect requirement changes
  • Notify sub servicer of loan corrections and provide all necessary documentation
  • Promptly communicate issues, as needed, to appropriate internal and external partners
  • Perform other related duties as requested to include validating loan data and confirming wire amounts related to the loan purchasing process prior to servicing boarding of the loan.

 

Qualifications:
  • 3+ years in the mortgage industry

 

Working knowledge of servicing principles, closing concepts and closing documents including:

     o HUD-1

     o Closing Disclosure

     o 1st payment letter

     o Missing/Misapplied payments

     o Escrow Boarding balance corrections

     o Tax and Insurance (MIP)

     o Correspondent Seller payment/escrow corrections
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite/advanced skills in Excel
  • Excellent communication, research and problem resolution skills required
  • BlackNight MSP preferred
  • 2+ years providing first class customer service and customer experiences
  • Strong analytical, problem resolution, and organizational skills required
  • Self-motivated, detail oriented personality with the ability to succeed in a fast paced environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize work while meeting deadlines
  • Adapts quickly to changing requirements
